The Secretariat
|
The BGTW Secretariat is the first point of contact with the Guild and is run jointly by BENITA FINANZIO and ROBERT ELLISON
Benita hails from Melbourne Australia and has strangely decided to make these ‘Fair Isles’ her home since 2005. Robert is from Birmingham in the West Midlands and has lived in London since 1999.
Benita and Robert enjoy travel, good food and a spot of wine (on occasion) and really love to meet new and interesting people. They both live in London and try hard to enjoy all the city has to offer.
Together their work history covers areas as diverse as music composition and performance, education, retail, events and administration. You may find their faces familiar, they have been spotted at Awards Dinners and yearbook launches in support of former BGTW secretariats Charlotte Copeman and Judy Robson.
They took over from Judy in April 2009.

"Apparently Ranger was a bit of a ladies dog - the Steve Owen of Alaskan Huskies – intent on making sudden amorous advances towards anything with four legs and a fur coat. This was fine in his own time but not when pulling a slightly overweight journalist over the icy terrain of Swedish Lapland. The last thing this slightly overweight journalist needed was to be tipped from his sled into a frozen lake, even in the name of canine romance."
