Journalist / TV cameraman crew member of Spirit of Cardiff, the most adventurous offshore powerboat in history - two transatlantics including official world record New York to Lizard Point, and an epic circumnavigation of the world in 2002. The resulting TV documentary filmed by Clive was broadcast on National Geographic's Adventure One channel to 160 million households in 144 countries worldwide. Along with his Spirit of Cardiff crew mates, Clive holds 34 official UIM powerboating world records.
While he hasn't subjected himself to the brutal punishment of powerboating since 2003, plans are afoot for a phenomenal new boat which will hopefully not just take the powerboat circumnavigation record (reduced to a little under 61 days in June 2008), but will attempt to break even the fastest around the world sailing record (currently just over 48 days). The voyage will take place in November 2011. More info on www.circumnavigationrecord.com.
