HAVING A WHALE OF A TIME
Freelance journalist and photographer Ron Toft, who specialises in wildlife travel, will be looking for whales and dolphins in the Bay of Biscay in early October aboard Brittany Ferries' Pont-Aven flagship. The Bay of Bay is one of the best places in Europe to see a wide range of cetaceans, from familiar bottlenose dolphins of Flipper fame to the less well-known but equally delightful common and striped dolphins and mighty fin and sperm whales.
