Your journey : Home : Membership : How to be a travel writerHow to be a travel writerThe British Guild of Travel Writers is only open to people already earning the majority of their income from travel writing. To start you on your way to that, here are some suggestions. BOOKS Three books on travel writing have been published in Britain in recent years – all written by Guild members. Travel Writing and Photography by Guy Marks How to Write and Sell Travel Articles by Cathy Smith Writing About Travel by Morag Campbell These last two are both available through libraries. All are worth reading and contain a lot of valuable information about getting into print, from people who have done it themselves. COURSES Traveller's Press, who publish Travel Writing and Photography, also organise occasional travel writing courses tutored by the book's author, Guy Marks.
