Author of Serbia (2005, 2nd edition 2007, 3rd edition 2010), Belgrade (2005) and Kyrgyzstan (2008), all published by Bradt Travel Guides. Also Slow Norfolk & Suffolk (Bradt/Alastair Sawday's) He has contributed to the anthologies Travelers’ Tales: Turkey (2002) and Encounters with the Middle East (2007), both published by Travelers’ Tales Inc, Insight Guide: Silk Road (October 2008), Lonely Planet's Northeast India (2009) and A Moveable Feast (2010). He has also been involved in updating several travel guides, both in print and online. Currently - early 2011 - he is working on a walking guide to coastal Suffolk for Cicerone and the second edition of his Bradt Kyrgyzstan guide.
Laurence has written for a number of magazines that include Geographical, Real Travel, Backpacker, Heritage, Discovery Channel Magazine, Russian Life, Wizz, Scottish Memories, JetWings, Discover India and Packed, as well as Perceptive Travel webzine. He is a regular contributor to hidden europe magazine and world music reviewer for Perceptive Travel.
