Tampere (Finland)
Earlier this month I returned from a trip to Tampere in Finland. While there I experienced a traditional crayfish party and an assortment of the excellent regional cuisine (including smoked fish, the speciality mustamakkara, plus reindeer and elk steaks). The pristine countryside and cultural offerings of Tampere made a very positive impression and I also learned to dance the Finnish Tango. If you are holding a dance event or commissioning features, please feel free to make contact: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Tel: +44 7947 587136 www.whyeyephotography.com

"Sharleen LaVallee, one of the dog handlers, explained that most of the dogs were "rescue" animals and loved sledding. They certainly seemed suitably eager to run in a pack, pulling anything - or anyone - silly enough to grab hold. It was all LaVallee, a large, strong woman who doubles as a Toronto cop and the first female Harley-Davidson mechanic in Canada, could do to keep them from taking off before we were ready."

From "It's a slippery slope: Do it right or the dog gets it", Ferne Arfin, The Sunday Telegraph, 9 October 2006
