Just when it seemed I was going to spend my whole working life as a lawyer a career break resulted in an opportunity to travel the world as a tour manager. Once I had learnt the job leading groups in Europe I spread my wings and began visiting more exotic destinations.
It was some years before I visited India and when I did it was every bit as vibrant and exciting as I had imagined and I went back as often as I could. After several visits the idea of writing a book relating my experiences was born. My India will be published by Vanguard Press, an imprint of Pegasus Elliot MacKenzie publishers on 31 August 2010.
This is my second book, first, Spirit of the Dolomites, was published in August 2008. This also relates my experiences taking groups on holiday in the lovely Italian resort of Madonna di Campiglio.
In the summer I go walking in the Dolomites with my camera as I am also a keen photographer. In the winter I ski the same slopes but without my camera as I have learnt the hard way that SLR cameras and skiing do not go well together.
